GINEPRAIO in italiano significa letteralmente "macchia di ginepri, sterpaio". È l'intrecciarsi di piante di ginepro da cui vengono raccolte le Bacche, l'ingrediente principale nella produzione di Gin. In Toscana la parola GINEPRAIO assume anche il significato metaforico "cacciarsi in un ginepraio", ovvero, mettersi in una situazione difficile o complicata.

Ginepraio as a grove of junipers and Ginepraio as a figure of speech used in Tuscany - "CACCIARSI IN UN GINEPRAIO", "find yourself in trouble" - to get into a complicated, tangled situation; a problem difficult to sort out and solve in which you are involved. This expression describes Tuscan people and their pungent irony - pungent just as the juniper's aroma.
