  • The earliest know mention of a cocktail of this description in bartender and author Harry Craddock's Savoy Cocktail Book of 1930.

    Craddock describes his recipe as "... a variation of the Grapefruit Cocktail", suggesting that such cocktail were already in common use before the book was written. His recipe consist of nothing but Gin, grapefruit juice and ice. If the rim of the glass has been salted, you can refer as Salty Dog as well.

  • 50 ml Ginepraio Gin

    150 ml fresh squeeze Grapefruit Juice

  • Salt the rim of a Highball glass.

    Pour all ingredients into ice-filled glass and stir gently.

    Garnish with a grapefruit twist.
