Pegu Club

 
  • Created in 1920s at Pegu Club, an expat gentleman club in British colonial Rangoon, Burma.

    The Cocktail appears in 1923 Harry MacElone's "ABC of Mixing Cocktail" and in 1930 Harry Craddock's "Savoy Cocktail Book" where he notes, "the favourite cocktail at the Pegu Club, Burma, and one that has travelled, and is asked for, round the world."

  • 45 ml Ginepraio Gin

    25 ml Lemon Juice

    25 ml Triple Sec

    2 dashes Angostura

    2 dashes Orange Bitter

  • Shake and double strain in a Coupette glass.
